Private Coaching in Marbella and Málaga
Sun Tri Sports has grown out of the interest of friends, individuals and groups that want to experience an active or training holiday and enjoy the Andalusian all-year-round great climate and stunning nature. Started in 2012 as Sun Tri Marbella, we now offer personalised training sessions in pool swimming, open water swimming, road cycling, (trail) running, yoga for athletes and of course triathlon coaching in Marbella. Although most of our coaches are in and around Marbella, we also offer coaching products in Málaga and Sevilla. We are proudly coaching and training men and women, of all ages, from beginners to world championship qualifiers.

We are not just tour guides or "weekend-certified PT's"; all our coaches have extensive sports backgrounds and sports educations as well as up to date first aid certifications. Many of our athletes wish to continue to train with us when they have travelled home. We support them with tailor-made training programs, aimed to reach their goals. Our on-line coaching platform of choice for planning and analysing your training is TrainingPeaks.
Assessments of your running, cycling, and swimming technique often with help of video analysis tools. We suggest ways and training drills to help you improve your form, reduce risk for injury and get towards faster times quicker.
The Andalucían climate is perfect to prepare and peak for your race. Based on your training background and current training plan, we train with you to make sure you get the best result on race day.
Giving guidance, company and needed motivation for those longer training sessions. We know all the best routes for road cycling, amazing running trails and places to do open water swimming.
Together we ride the bike course of the half Ironman Marbella, give insights and tips on how to tackle the ride and preserve energy. We can also practice the swim distance and run on the official running route of the race.
Helping athletes of all levels with e.g. review of training planning and results, addressing performance plateaus, motivation, mental strength, nutrition and with developing a plan B when training for an event has not gone according to plan.

Based on your past training experience, injury records and current life situation, we design the most effective monthly training program to improve your fitness, strength & endurance and to meet your training goals.
Lab tests like VO2 Max, Lactate Threshold and Functional Threshold Power to identify the most efficient training zones and to identity possible weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
Establish your heartrate and pacing zones for running and/or your heartrate and power zones for cycling in order to train at the most appropriate intensities and avoid junk miles on the bike or run.
Analysis of your strength, stability and flexibility and technique with video analysis tools. We suggest ways and training drills to help you improve your form, reduce risk for injury and get towards faster times quicker.
Assessment of your posture. This is often an overlooked problem area for triathletes and potential cause for injuries. We suggest corrective exercises and stretching to improve posture and avoid future problems.
Certified remedial massage therapist Jess will treat muscles that are damaged, knotted, tense or immobile and help to speed up your body’s own healing processes. Perfect during tapering or to get rid of any niggles.
